Overview
Located on the top floor of the striking Rosenheim hotel building, the onsen is the only natural hydrogen hot spring in Japan. The highly alkaline water is said to have an anti-ageing effect on the body.
The onsen features a sheltered outdoor bath lined with boulders, multiple indoor baths and a sauna.
Views of the Happo One ski hill can be enjoyed from the indoor and outdoor baths.
The infrared “Tron Sauna” is a lower temperature than its Scandinavian counterparts, so is a relaxing space but still plenty hot enough to work up a sweat.
Rosenheim is just a 5-minute walk from the bottom of the Happo One - Nakiyama 2 ski lift. Head straight to this onsen after a full day on the Happo One ski hill.
