An introductory half-day event geared for individuals, families or small groups who would like to experience the mountains on snowshoes.
Akakura First Steps is a local pro-guided tour featuring a 1/2-day National Park snowshoe adventure by Snowcat at Akakura.
Once geared up, you will take a snowcat ride up to elevation 1000m via areas with nice views. After the ride in the snowcat, you put on your snowshoes and go for a stroll in a white forest.
This tour is a chill, easy-paced activity geared for just about anyone. At the discretion of the lead guide, we reserve the right to modify the itinerary due to weather, snow conditions, or according to group skill level.
Please expect to confirm your space and snow conditions the night before your reservation.
