Located at the base of the Annupuri ski area, this onsen makes our list for one of the best in the area.
The water contains silicic acid, sodium and hydrogen carbonate, a rarity in Japan, which is said to be effective in beautifying the skin.
Set against boulders and trees covered by fallen snow, the relaxing effect of the outdoor bath’s hot water is augmented by the stunning natural scenery.
The view can also be enjoyed through the large glass windows of the light and airy indoor bath.
Bed baths and sauna provide further options to unwind and refresh your tired body.
Chairs are provided for the bath to make bathing easier and safer for small children and elderly people.
