Overview

A Tranquil Hideaway Set Amid the Pristine Forests of the Hakuba Valley's North-Eastern Reaches In addition to offering accommodation to individual guests, Momiji is also available for exclusive booking by groups - ideal for yoga, company meetings, events and parties.

Momiji Lodge brings together nature and modern luxury in perfect harmony, with stunning architecture and chic decor throughout. The Lodge was inspired by Japanese architectural design and thoughtfully incorporates reused wooden beams from dismantled local historical sites. The high ceilings and natural colours and textures employed throughout offer an air of sophistication and serenity.

Not only are the bedrooms comfortable and spacious, the communal areas make a great retreat, sit in front of the lounge fireplace, enjoy the warmth of the fire together with underfloor heating, and make new friends in the recreation room or in the inhouse restaurant and bar area.

Our guest rooms, bar, restaurant and toilet facilities are accessible for wheelchair users.We have access via an elevator from the lower to first floor (Winter season snow conditions may prevent easy access but our staff are always on hand to assist).

Whilst Momiji Lodge is surrounded by pristine snow-capped forest, the nearest slopes are just 150m away.

Enjoy skiing at the nearby resorts of Norikura, Cortina and Tsugaike, which make up just a few of the 11 resorts of the Hakuba Valley. And once you're done you may like to experience the nearby natural hot spring where you can mingle with locals and like-minded travellers to the area.

Momiji’s bar and restaurant features high ceilings showcasing timber beams reclaimed from a 150-year-old sake brewery. Pine flooring in the common areas benefit from underfloor heating and the sofas in front of the real log fire proves a popular spot for guests to relax.
