Where is the centre of Hakuba?

There are eight ski villages in the Hakuba Valley – Happo One, Wadano, Echoland, Goryu, Iwatake, Tsugaike, Norikura and Cortina.

Happo One is centrally located within the valley and acts at the transport hub with the most shuttle bus connections.

It is also the largest village with the biggest selection of bars, restaurants and shopping and sits at the base of Happo One ski resort - the largest in the valley.

The Echoland main street with its concentration of restaurants and nightlife does give central Happo One village a run for its money but being in the thick of it in Hakuba really means Happo One village.

What is the difference between Hakuba central accommodation and ski in / ski out?

Hakuba central means in the heart of the action with restaurants, bars, shopping and the best of Hakuba’s amenities on your doorstep.
