Shimataya Onsen
Situated on top of the hill, overlooking the surrounding greenery, sits the Nozawa onsen.
Although the onsen itself is indoors, large picture windows frame the scenery in almost every direction, offering an ideal place to unwind and take in the landscape.
The onsen is said to be one of the best in the area and, with a view like this, it’s hard to argue.
The onsen is open daily but keep in mind that it’s relatively small and may be crowded in busier times.
If you can get a spot, though, watching the sunset here over the mountainous scenery is incredible and an experience you won’t want to miss!

Cancellation

- 76 or more days before check in date - 25% cancellation fee applies
- Within 75 days of check in date - 100% cancellation fee applies
Date Changes
- Stay date change may be considered within the same winter season
- Request for stay date changes must be made via email (info [at] samuraisnow.com) or website contact form more than 14 days before check in date and reconfirmed by Samurai Snow before being considered
Check In / Out
- Check in time is from 16:00 and check out time is from 10:00
- Early check in and late check out can be requested and will be accommodated where the accommodation schedule allows
- Early check in cannot be guaranteed in advance & late check out can only be confirmed the night before
