Overview

Great for those who are here to ski and ski only, these rooms offer affordable and simple accommodation alongside the essential amenities.

Each room features four single beds line up against the walls, which can double as couches during the day if you'd like to hang out here.

The room also features heating to keep you cosy and a television to keep you entertained. There's also an attached ensuite compact bathroom.

The room offers some basic storage space, too, as well as a wall of large windows to keep the room from feeling cramped or stuffy with plenty of natural light and, if you're willing to brave the cold, fresh air.

Shiga Prince Hotel - West Wing

Overview

This resort hotel has a whopping 350 rooms in the West Wing. This Wing offers a choice of moderately priced accommodation. Of the 350 rooms, half are small twin (2 x single beds in room) rooms and the other half are family rooms that are 21.7 square meters in size.

The West Building, a reasonably-priced wing where self-service is the order of the day and families or groups can kick back and relax.

The West Wing does have a great open air shared bath where you can soak in the warmth and rest yourself while gazing out at the beautiful snow covered vistas and feel refreshed from the day's skiing. Although this bath is not a natural onsen hotspring, it is still worth trying out at least once while you stay here.

The West Wing has an open plan cafeteria style restaurant that serves up more casual fare. Portion sizes are good and the food is enjoyable, but please do not expect fine dining, but just more a family fun setting, but again surrounded with superb mountain and slope side views.

Bathhouse

Open for all West Wing guests, the large indoor and outdoor shared bath at Shiga Kogen Prince Hotel are a spectacular way to unwind and relax after a day in the snow.

Although it is not a natural hotspring onsen, the warm water is said to be fantastic for soothing aches and tired body after a hard day of skiing.

Each bath is open from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. throughout the week and stays open until 1 a.m. on Friday.

There are men’s and women’s baths, and each bath is free for guest use.

  • 25% Deposit Payment required at the time of booking
  • 75% Balance Payment required no later than 75 days before the check in date

Cancellation

  • Cancellation requests must be made via email (info [at] samuraisnow.com) or website contact form and reconfirmed by Samurai Snow before being considered a cancellation.
  • 75 or more days before check in date - 25% cancellation fee applies
  • Within 75 days of check in date - 100% cancellation fee applies

Check In / Out

  • Check in time is from 15:00 and check out time is from 10:00
  • Early check in and late check out can be requested and will be accommodated where the accommodation schedule allows
  • Early check in cannot be guaranteed in advance & late check out can only be confirmed the night before
